Brian Whitmore, Assistant Professor of Practice at UTA’s McDowell Center and Nonresident Senior Fellow at the Atlantic Council, spoke at the 2023 #CONNEXIONS Conference at the University of Texas at Austin on April 11-12.
In his first appearance, Whitmore spoke about his forthcoming book, Russian Illusions: Lessons from the Post-Cold War for the New Cold War, with veteran journalist and former RFE/RL acting president Jeff Trimble. The title of the panel was “The New Cold War: What Went Wrong in the 1990s.”
In his second appearance, Whitmore spoke with Danila Galperovich of the Voice of America’s Russian Service about “Piercing the Armor of Russian Propaganda.”
